Newmarket Racecourse is home to some of the country's most exciting flat racing fixtures such as the July Festival, The Cambridgeshire Meeting, Future Champions Day and of course the QIPCO Guineas Festival which includes the famous British Classic races the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas.
With two separate flat racing courses that hold a capacity of around 45,000 the town is also home to the National Horseracing Museum and The National Studpopular destination for all horse racing enthusiasts.
Newmarket is in fact home to two separate flat racing courses located in Newmarket, Suffolk. The Rowley Mile course is used for the majority of race fixtures that run throughout April - May and August - October and the July Course (also known as the Summer Course) is used for all races throughout the month of July.
Advantages of travelling by helicopter
Like with every popular event delays can occur due to congestion on the roads surrounding the area or with the public transport routs to the area. Newmarket is no exception to this with the A11 and A14 both becoming particularly busy on race days which also impacts the shuttle bus service travelling from the surrounding rail stations.
By choosing to hire a private helicopter to fly to Newmarket you can miss out on any potential delays incurred by road congestion as you land directly at the course itself. You will also be treated to a wonderful aerial view of the race course on approach and Newmarket town itself as well as the surrounding areas such as Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Thetford (depending on the departure point you are flying from).
Choosing your helicopter
Below are a selection of some of the helicopters we have available for private charter, for more details and to see a full list of aircraft please view our Aircraft Fleet page.
