In November 2015 a new £45 million redevelopment of its course-side Princess Royal Stand was unveiled with a capacity of 7,000. It includes several bars and restaurants including the Big Bucks Champagne Bar named after the legendary racehorse who won four World Hurdles and 18 consecutive races.
The first organised race was held in Cheltenham in 1815 and now racecourse boasts over 700,000 visitors each year. It also has the largest tented village at a sporting event.
Why travel by helicopter?
Cheltenham is one of the few racecourses to provide its own helipad which reduces the hassle and travel time for you of using other landing sites. You will also be transported from the helicopter to your enclosure in a Bentley free of charge. It also gives you the luxury of experiencing the breath-taking scenery of the beautiful Cotswolds. If you’re staying in the area why not visit the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, Pittville Park or the Montepellier District of the city.
